1. The weaving of the thread
JOÃO & FELICIANO
The first step is to transform the Tencel™ yarns into fabric through a loom at João & Feliciano, one of the only workshops in Portugal specializing in warp and weft fabrics.
We met Elisabete and her team in January 2021, and were seduced by their quality requirements and their commitment to the environment: they have notably installed solar panels to power the workshop.
João & Feliciano is certified:
OEKO-TEX Standard 100, a certification that guarantees that no substances harmful to health and the environment are used,
SGS ISO 9001, certification that guarantees the quality requirements of the fabrics.
2. Printing the patterns
SATINSKIN TÊXTEIS
It is less than 30 kilometers away, still in Portugal, that our printer is located. We went to meet him in May 2021. They are Luisa and her team who ensure the quality of the printing of the patterns (colors, shades, details ...), thanks to a digital inkjet printing. The ink is directly injected into the fiber of the fabric for an optimal holding of the colors in time.
This workshop is also committed to reducing its impact on the environment: all company cars have been replaced by electric vehicles.
Satinskin Têxteis is also certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

3. THE PYJAMAS MANUFACTURING
SUPERCORTE
A little further south, in Meixomil, is where we have our garment workshop. Luís, Patrícia and the meticulous Supercorte seamstresses cut, assemble and sew your pyjamas. They then carry out a rigorous quality control to ensure that all the details are perfect, from the placement of the pretty wooden buttons to the size of the pockets on your pants.
Supercorte is a member of SEDEX, the world's largest collaborative platform for sharing ethical data among suppliers, in order to continuously improve its labor law initiatives.

What about your cozy sweatshirts?
Nêge sweatshirts 100% organic cotton are also made in the region of Porto in Portugal, in the city of Lordelo.
Miguel and the Confenix seamstresses bring these cozy sweatshirts to life. Confenix is a family-run workshop with recognized expertise in Portugal, specializing in knitwear.
Our sweatshirts are woven using the mesh technique, while our pyjamas are woven using the warp and weft technique. Two different techniques that require a real expertise. We chose to work with Confenix for its specialization in sweatshirts but also for its environmental and ethical commitments.
Thanks to Confenix, our sweatshirts are GOTS certified, a label that guarantees the use of at least 95% organic fibers - at Nêge, it's 100% - as well as the respect of the environment and the human being, throughout the production chain.

A close production
When we started the project, it was important to us to produce our pyjamas and sweatshirts close to France. Before choosing our partners, we went to Portugal in January 2021 and visited many workshops to find those with whom we will build a long term relationship.
We wanted to know each of our workshops: the garment, weaving and printing workshops and to have maximum proximity between each of them.
We would also like to be able to present you quickly the workshops before the weaving.
