Minimize single-use packaging
When it comes to packaging, it all starts with the polybag.
The polybag, in the textile industry, is the transparent plastic bag in which each garment is slipped over at the end of the manufacturing process, to protect it during delivery from the garment factory to the warehouse.
The standard in the textile industry is to package each garment in an individual polybag. Never seen a polybag? That's simply because they are often removed and discarded before the garment is delivered to you.
So we wanted to limit the impact of the polybags of our pyjamas. We worked with our Supercorte garment factory to have only one large polybag per shipping carton, to avoid individual polybags for each shirt and each pair of pants. At Nêge, one polybag protects 34 pyjamas at a time.
The Nêge envelope
Then there is the packaging that transports your pyjamas from our warehouse to your mailbox.
To take care of your pyjamas during delivery, we have chosen a minimalist eco-responsible packaging, in the form of an envelope and not a box, adapted to the dimensions of your pyjamas. Our goal? To avoid any empty space or unnecessary cardboard.
After having co-created with you the design of your Nêge envelope, Loïc and his Chronopack team are in charge of developing it:
Made in Germany, it is FSC certified, made from recycled paper, and recyclable. An FSC-certified envelope is a guarantee that the paper used comes from sustainably managed forests.
Then it is printed in Belgium with water-based, non-toxic inks.
It offers two levels of adhesive strips, so you can reseal the envelope and reuse it for the return of your pyjamas if it does not fit.
Finally, to nicely protect your pyjamas during transport, we put it in a small personalized pouch, in GOTS certified organic cotton. We hope you will enjoy using it to carry your pyjamas or your personal belongings when you travel.

reusable packaging
Further reduce our impact with reusable packaging
Reducing our packaging is good, reusing it is even better.
We have partnered with Hipli to offer you a reusable package option for every order, up to 100 times. This partnership is only available for French orders for now but we hope to be able to propose it for other countries very soon.
How does it work?
Upon receipt of your pyjamas, you simply have to fold the Hipli package following the instructions on the back.
Then, you just have to slip it in any yellow mailbox of La Poste (to help you locate the nearest one, a QR Code is present on the parcel). Thanks to the postage printed on each parcel, it comes back to Hipli's workshop in Le Havre, where each parcel is cleaned, repaired if necessary and reused up to 100 times.

Folding and returning this reusable package to Hipli means avoiding waste in your garbage can.
Because its advantages are numerous:
- It is reusable, up to 100 uses.
- It avoids the production of waste: up to 25 kg of waste avoided on 100 orders.
- It is repairable.
- For every 100 orders, a Hipli package will travel a shorter distance than single-use packaging, even with postal returns.
- It adjusts to the dimensions of your pyjamas to reduce the impact during transport.
- It is 96% recycled by Hipli.
To ensure the durability of this reusable packaging, it could not be designed in cardboard but in non-woven polypropylene (plastic). However, the more times this reusable packaging is used, the smaller its impact on the environment: it has a lower environmental impact than cardboard, from the second use.

The environmental impact of a Hipli parcel simply depends on its reuse rate.
